Meet the Team

Owner - Sean Fry

Owner

Sean Fry

The visionary leader who ensures Fry’s Auto Care remains a trusted name in the community. Your dedication inspires us all! I’m the Shop owner Sean Fry. I founded Fry’s auto care in 2006. I am a Colorado native raised by my grandmother who I refer to as Mom. Growing up as a mountain kid in the Poudre Canyon I quickly found a passion in the thrill of driving. Whether that was dirt bikes, trucks, cars, four wheelers, rock, crawlers, etc. I was all about it. There wasn’t a mud hole or a snowbank that I didn’t have the urge to drive through. My truck was both my daily driver, and my off roading machine. My little Chevy was always broken. I definitely abused that thing. I decided in My junior year of high school to take an automotive and welding class just to learn how to maintain and repair my own vehicle. I couldn’t afford an expensive car, so I made do with what I had not to mention the school bus ride from Fort Collins up the canyon required earlier mornings, and later nights which took me away from getting more hours at the car wash I worked at. I helped at the local amphitheater and filled in when needed at my mom ‘s lodge. My senior year I continued automotive and welding, even after spending the first half of the school year on crutches after I was tossed like a cheese omelet off my dirt-bike. After graduating from Poudre high school, I accepted a scholarship to the local community college where I completed my automotive courses and also got set up with employment at an automotive shop in the area. I worked at 4x4 shops, quick lube, import shops and even laid tile for a while. Life just continued on. My high school truck was a Chevy luv and the more I worked, the more money I earned and with that came more desire to beef up the luv. I am a guy with the “It could always be faster,” mentality. I found a one bay garage that I rented out to have a place to work on the Luv in my free time. My one bay area was the one stop shop for the community in the canyon and amphitheater employees. I was the go-to car guy for questions and repairs. I would’ve never expected all that to get me where I am today. I was so busy working on everyone else’s vehicles that I didn’t get to work on the luv. I laid tile during the day, worked on vehicles at night and also took care of my mom who was becoming elderly and required more care. Things just kept happening without any real plan in place and next thing I knew in 2006 I had to file an LLC and get a tax ID because the clientele just kept coming. 17 years later and I still love what I do. It’s been a ride. It’s been a blessing. It’s been everything I’ve ever dreamed of. There has been a lot of people who contributed and supported me in this journey, but it wasn’t just me who built Fry’s auto care. It was my Friends, family, employees, fellow church goers, customers, teachers, bosses, even strangers, who really helped me build the foundation and the values I hold and implement in the business. Growing up with a mom as a business owner, I learned how to structure my financial well-being. I understood and appreciated the value of a dollar, and I have a close-knit community, who I consider family. It all started with them and my passion of burning fuel and burning rubber. Cars, bikes, boats, whatever it maybe it isn’t just a machine to me. It’s a challenge. It’s a puzzle. It’s a learning lesson. And I try and teach that to my employees now. A lot of things I had to learn the hard way. I’m not going to say I’m perfect. I’ve broken things. I’ve messed up jobs, but I’ve learned from all of it. As the business continues to grow and thrive, I take a lesson every day whether it be from a customer, a job, or someone walking down the street you can learn something new every day if you try. I have structured that into my business and day to day life. I can teach you pretty much anything, but you have to be willing to learn. I’m happy with where I am at today and I wouldn’t change it. I bleed engine oil so outside of work you can find me at the racetrack, riding my Harley, boating, going to the sand dunes and of course still making improvements on my Chevy luv.
